Inland Northwest Council of the Boy Scouts of America receives $2,500

The Avista Foundation has awarded $9,500 in grants to several local nonprofits.

The North Idaho Violence Prevention Center in Coeur d'Alene received a $2,500 grant to help fund shelter programs for domestic violence victims.

Children's Village of Coeur d'Alene received a $1,000 grant to replace windows for the Miller Home foster care facility.

Heritage Health of Coeur d'Alene was awarded $1,000 for its homeless outreach program.

The Inland Northwest Council of the Boy Scouts of America was awarded $2,500 for a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) education initiative.

The Avista Foundation, a nonprofit established in 2002, is a community investment program that provides funding to nonprofits that address the needs of communities served by Avista Utilities and Alaska Electric Light and Power Co.
