A 12-year-old boy who went missing from his home in Coeur d'Alene on Friday was found sitting in a Post Falls field by himself, unharmed, late Saturday morning.
The Coeur d'Alene Police Department said officers were notified at 11:05 a.m. that Chance Belnap had been located after an adult female found the boy sitting in a grassy area at Seltice Way and McGuire Road in Post Falls by himself.
He was unharmed. All indications are the boy voluntarily walked away from home, police said.
Detectives will continue to follow up and determine what caused him to leave.
The Amber Alert for Belnap had been issued Friday evening after Belnap left his home in Coeur d'Alene around 7 a.m. on foot but never made it to school.
