The Coeur d’Alene Crush ’97 went 3-1 on a long day at the 15-team state tourney at Skyview High in Nampa.
The Crush managed just five hits in a 4-2 loss to the Idaho Heat of Boise.
In the losers bracket, the Crush then beat the Caldwell Chargers (Mendiola) 6-1. Breana Burke pitched a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts, and JaeCie Wilson and Kylie Rasmussen each went 3 for 4.
The Crush blanked the Idaho Sliders 8-0. Mariah Montee went 3 for 4, Wilson was 2 for 3, and Bryce Catt started a six-run fifth inning with a leadoff double. Burke struck out three in a three-hitter.
Montee struck out five in a one-hitter as the Crush beat the Caldwell Chargers Adkinson 16-1. Analisa Raynor went 4 for 4 with four runs and two RBIs for the Crush, who had 17 hits and weathered two lightning delays and a rain delay.
The Crush play the Homedale Thunderstix this morning.
Also in the tournament, the Crush ’98 beat the Northwest Wildfire 12-11, lost to the Idaho Heat 8-2 and lost to Homedale 13-5 and were eliminated.
The Crush are guaranteed a top-four finish after going 2-1 on the first day of the 12-team state tourney at Gals Quad Complex in Caldwell.
Bailie Cavanaugh went 2 for 3 with two doubles and four RBIs as the Crush beat the Caldwell Chargers 12-3. Sydney Koon struck out three in a three-hitter.
The Idaho Heat beat the Crush 10-7. Cavanaugh went 2 for 3 with a triple and three RBIs, and Bailey Gleaves was 2 for 4. Della Case hit an RBI triple to tie the game at 6 in the fifth.
The Crush then ousted the Caldwell Chargers with an 8-3 win. Kyllie Sappington went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, and Koon struck out five.
The Crush play the Idaho Sliders this morning, needing two more wins to reach the championship game.
Also at the tournament, the Idaho Xtreme and the Northwest Wildfire were both eliminated.
The Crush ’01 went 2-1 on the first day of the state tourney at Willow Lane Athletic Complex in Boise.
The Ramp Rats beat the Crush 8-6 in the first round. Lacey Lemberg went 3 for 3 with a double and two stolen bases for the Crush.
The Crush beat Emmett 17-5 in five innings. Halle Kane was 2 for 2 with three stolen bases, and Taylor Wenglikowski stole five bases for the Crush.
The Crush then rallied with five runs in the bottom of the fifth and final inning to beat the Honey Badgers from Boise 12-11. Amanda Curry struck out the side in the top of the fifth, and Hailey Lyons singled in Emma Bohl with the winning run with two out in the bottom half.
The Crush play Middleton this morning, needing two more wins in the tourney to reach the championship game.

Post Falls 14, Coeur d’Alene 12: Shiloh Morgan hit a ground-rule double in the seventh inning to drive in the go-ahead run for Post Falls in the loser-out game. Nikko Rossi and Anton Watson each hit two-run home runs for Coeur d’Alene, and Logan Nosworthy also homered.
Post Falls plays Hayden today at 2:30 p.m. in the championship game at Croffoot Park. If Post Falls wins, a second title game would follow at 5.

Post Falls White 6, Lewiston 4: Cabe Misita, Johnny Delbridge, Trace Valente, Casey Weeks, Alex de Tar and Matt Fleming each had a hit for Post Falls in the loser-out game.
Post Falls White plays Hayden today at noon in the championship game at Croffoot Park. If Post Falls White wins, a second title game would follow at 2:30 p.m.

Coeur d’Alene 11, Hayden Black 0: Payton Childers, Mayson Whittaker and Cooper Grohs combined on a three-hit shutout for Coeur d’Alene in the loser-out game. Jack Courtney also went 2 for 3 in the win. Beau Brown, Ezra Grigg and Ryan Usher had singles for Hayden Black.
Coeur d’Alene plays Lewiston Purple in the championship game today at Croffoot Park. If Coeur d’Alene wins, a second title game would follow at noon.
