PHD and Americorps seek health advocate

HAYDEN – Panhandle Health District has teamed up with the AmeriCorps Program to offer a one-year position as a Health Advocate in the PHD Hayden office starting Sept. 1.

The health advocate will help organize, implement and deliver a program that targets childhood obesity to child care staff in the five northern counties. Job candidates will apply through AmeriCorps and must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Benefits include a living stipend of up to $12,100 for a full year, flexibility with school schedules, interest paid on all or part of qualified student loans during the year of service, experience in a health-related field, the opportunity to complete required internship hours through school and much more.
