Hadley wins Race the River triathlon

COEUR d'ALENE - Brian Hadley, a 37-year-old from Coeur d'Alene, was the top male finisher at the Race the River triathlon at Riverstone in Coeur d'Alene on Sunday.

Hadley finished the half-mile swim, 11-mile bike and 3.1-mile run in 56 minutes, 30 seconds.

Roger Thompson, 41, of Spokane was second in 56:37.

On the women's side, Casey Dean, 25, of Lander, Wyo., won in 1 hour, 6 minutes, 39 seconds.

Suzanne Endsley, 47, of Hayden, was second in 1:06:46.

There were 634 participants.
