Crush 97 begins play at nationals

SOUIX FALLS, S.D. - JaeCie Wilson and Abby Howard had 3 hits each to lead the Coeur d'Alene Crush 97 14-under softball team past the Muskogee Impact of Oklahoma 11-5 on Monday to begin pool play at the 114-team "A" Super Nationals.

Mariah Montee, Hannah Nelson, Jadyn Behm and Kylie Smith each had two hits for the Crush, which combined for 16 hits total.

The Crush will face the Buckeye Heat (Ohio) today at 4 p.m. in their last pool play game. Tounament play begins on Wednesday.

LCHS football meeting set

COEUR d'ALENE - Lake City High football coach Van Troxel has announced a player/parent meeting for all players planning to play football this fall (freshman through seniors).

The meeting will take place this Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the LCHS auditorium.

Kroc Center to host 3-on-3 league

COEUR d'ALENE - A 3-on-3 mens basketball league will take place at the Kroc Center for men 30 years of age and older.

The league will last 5 weeks and be played late Sunday afternoons starting Sept 16.
