SEATTLE - Timmy Mueller finished the day with three goals to lead the Idaho Thunder under-17 soccer team to a win and a tie in their two round-robin games Sunday at the US Club Soccer Northwest Regional.

Mueller scored twice and Alex Opland and Jake Nelson also had goals to lead the Thunder to a 4-3 win over Tynecastle of Seattle in their first game of the day. Tynecastle was ranked No. 2 in Washington, according to Thunder coach Briggs Anderson.

Mueller found the net once and Grayson Le also scored to help the Thunder to a 2-2 tie with the Northwest Nationals of Seattle in their second game.

The Thunder, which is comprised of mostly the same team that finished second at nationals last season, will play Crossfire today, and need to win and have some luck to make the finals on Tuesday.
