Post Falls earns financial reporting honor

The 2012 Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to Post Falls.

The city was recognized for its comprehensive annual financial report and the city's annual financial report for citizens.

The award was recently presented by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

"Bond rating agencies look at these recognitions when evaluating if cities are being financially well-managed," said interim city administrator Shelly Enderud.

For 14 consecutive years, Post Falls has been recognized for its financial management.

The reports are posted at www.postfallsidaho.org.
