Lakeland High School's student council is hosting a community game night benefiting the local Rathdrum Lions Club backpack program. The event will be held Saturday night from 5 to 9 p.m. at Lakeland High School and will feature life-size games for all ages.

Some of the games include: Connect 4, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Angry Birds, Pac-Man, Chutes and Ladders, Battleship and human foosball.

Each game costs anywhere from one to three tickets. Tickets cost $1 each. All proceeds will go toward the local backpack program and will help Lakeland in the new spirit game with Sandpoint, called "Battle for the Paddle."

“Battle for the Paddle” is in lieu of the Prairie Pig competition that was formerly with Post Falls.
