KENNEWICK, Wash. — Jacob Rutherford had two RBIs and three runs scored for the Post Falls Trojans in a 12-11 extra inning over the Kamiakin Braves in a nonleague game on Saturday afternoon.

Nate Buer led off the eighth with a walk and was replaced by courtesy runner Cameron McKeown, who stole second and scored on an error to give Post Falls the win, finishing with 12 hits in the game.

“We just finally squared some balls up,” Post Falls coach Mick Zeller said. “We had better approaches and swung at better pitches. Cameron’s stolen base was huge, and we played good defense when we needed to. We just kept battling and I’m proud of the guys for that.”

Earlier, Kennewick beat Post Falls 11-1.

Post Falls returns to action at the Buck’s Bags tournament in Boise on March 30.
