The senior catcher went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBIs as the Hawks defeated Sandpoint in the 4A Region 1 baseball championship. “Both doubles came with two outs and were a huge momentum shifter for us,” Lakeland coach Jason Bradbury said. “Jared has also been our leader all season and works extremely hard behind the dish. He’s thrown out 13 of 19 base runners and blocks the ball very well. Our pitchers are confident enough in him to throw any pitch at any given time. That’s huge, especially at this level.”
