Laura L. Ford, 71
Laura Ford (May) passed away Aug. 2, 2017. She was born in National City, Calif., on July 28, 1946, to Robert A. May and Edna June May (Smith).
She was married to her high school sweetheart, Robert S. Ford of Yuma, Ariz., in Winterhaven, Calif., on May 4, 1964. They lived in Yuma, Imperial Beach, Calif., back to Yuma, Pueblo, Colo., Colorado Springs, Colo., San Diego, Calif., and finally settled down in Post Falls, Idaho, in May 2002.
She worked as a property manager off and on her entire life before retiring in 2010. Other jobs included working as a phone operator in Yuma and 10 years for Mervyn’s department store as a department manager.
Laura enjoyed learning how to paint and teaching what she knew, gardening, cooking, bowling, traveling around with her husband and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Robert S. Ford; her four daughters, Sharon Clark of Hayden, Idaho, Barbara Ford of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Laura Michelcic of Juneau, Alaska, and Sandra Ford of Coeur d’Alene; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda Dingeldine; and two half-sisters, Nora Hammond and Mary Elizabeth Weldy.
Bell Tower Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Laura’s final arrangements.
