ANNIVERSARIES

George and Audrey Thayer

75th Anniversary

George and Audrey Thayer, of Rathdrum, are celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary on Sept. 26, 2017. They were married in the one-and-only Hitching Post in Coeur d’Alene in 1942.

George and Audrey are longtime Rathdrum Prairie farmers and land developers. They have seven grandchildren and literally dozens of great-grandchildren, as well as great-great-grandchildren.

Donald and Charlotte Keane

70th Anniversary

Donald J. Keane and Charlotte R. Tanner were married on Sept. 14, 1947, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Rockland, Mass.

They moved to Coeur d’Alene with daughters Pat and Kathy in 1953. Don and Charlotte added daughter Donna, and sons Jack, Tim and Willy while raising their family here.

Family time is always special. In addition to that, Don loved to drive and together the loving couple visited all 50 United States and all the Canadian Provinces. Had to take a flight to Hawaii because there was no bridge to drive his truck.

In this 70 years, lots of things have changed in this world, but some things have not; we still see them holding hands and kissing each other hi, bye, good morning and good night.

William Shaffer and Brenda Kirk-Shaffer

50th Anniversary

William “Bill” Shaffer and Brenda Kirk-Shaffer, of Hayden Lake, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Bill and Brenda were married Sept. 9, 1967, in Glendale, Calif., and moved to the North Idaho area in October 1973.

William retired from Kootenai Electric as a lineman. Brenda is a house wife.

Their children are Bill Shaffer and wife Dawn of Dalton Gardens; and Christopher Shaffer and wife Joanna of Athol. They have seven grandchildren, Tirinni, John, Jesse, Rashell, Levi, Dylan and Reese; and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration for their 50th wedding anniversary was held Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, with family and friends hosted by Bill and Dawn Shaffer.

Their secret to happily ever after; respect, friendship and unconditional love. Happy 50th anniversary Dad and Mom. We love you very much!

Don and JoAnne Kilian

35th Anniversary

Don and JoAnne Kilian, 35 years of amazing adventures, my best friend, my beautiful wife, love you heart and soul; to the moon and back!
