Elks to honor police, families

The Coeur d’Alene Elks Lodge No. 1254 will be hosting a dinner honoring local enforcement officers at 6 p.m. on Friday Sept. 15. It is in conjunction with the Elks National Patriot Week which runs from Monday Sept. 11 to Sunday Sept. 17.

The meal is free to all law enforcement officers and their spouses who are members of the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, and the Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls and Rathrum police departments.

The lodge is located at 1170 W. Prairie Ave. in Coeur d’Alene.
