On Jan 7th 2016, I heard the words nobody wants to hear, “I'm sorry but you have breast cancer.”

I was diagnosed with Stage 2b Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. After further testing I also learned it had spread to my Lymph nodes and I carry the BRCA1 gene.

My life as I knew it was drastically changed, but that day...I became a Survivor!

With the help and support of family and friends I went into fight mode and WE kicked Cancer's butt! I say we because without them I don't know where I would be.

I went through 16 rounds of Chemo, a Double Mastectomy and 33 treatments of Radiation.

I am currently almost 15 months into remission and appreciating life more than ever!

Please Please Please ladies and even guys too...be Aware and check yourselves! Take care of your bodies and each other!
