BOYS SOCCER: Timberlake downs Priest River

SPIRIT LAKE — Lukas Heintze, an exchange student from Germany, recorded four goals and an assist for the Timberlake Tigers in a 6-0 Intermountain League win over the Priest River Spartans on Wednesday night at Timberlake High.

“Lukas has been playing centerback for us and we don’t typically play two forwards, but put him in there tonight,” Timberlake coach Bert Bentley said. “And he definitely stepped up tonight and did really well last night.”

Timberlake (10-3-1, 7-1-1 IML), which lost to Bonners Ferry 2-0 at home on Tuesday, travels to Grangeville on Saturday. With a win, the Tigers can lock up the top seed to the 3A District 1-2 tournament.
