Cd'A man dies in Post Falls crash

POST FALLS — A 23-year-old Coeur d'Alene man died this morning during a single-vehicle crash in Post Falls.

Patrick Sparr was pronounced dead at the scene. Derrick Starke, 23, Coeur d'Alene, was treated on scene for minor injuries. Neither occupant was using a seatbelt.

Idaho State Police is investigating who was driving.

According to ISP, the black BMW was eastbound on Fourth Avenue approaching Seltice Way at a high rate of speed around 2 a.m.

The driver was negotiating a slight left curve when it went off the shoulder, struck a large boulder and rolled. The vehicle came to rest in a field on the south side of the roadway.
