PREP CROSS COUNTRY: Peightal paces Timberlake girls to title at home invite

SPIRIT LAKE — Junior Abigail Peightal won the girls race in the Timberlake Invitational in 19 minutes, 44.2 seconds to pace the Tigers to the team title on Thursday at Timberlake High.

Timberlake, which placed four in the top five, won with 17 points.

Jordan Hardy was third in the boys race for Timberlake in 17:02.7, helping the Tigers to the team title.

Priest River’s Caleb Gleason won the boys race in 16:27.3.
