AMBULANCES: Worthwhile costs

Print Article

In response to the My Turn, Id like to remind readers that ambulances are very expensive and contain all kinds of life saving equipment. The local paramedics, all well trained and licensed. The training must be upgraded to keep their licensure updated. None of the above come cheap.

I also needed the ambulance last winter. My care was outstanding. I say that as a former EMT. Their care, comfort and confidence made a really bad night one of being assured that I was in wonderful hands.

Cabs/taxis are there 24 hours and just a call away. They are courteous and much cheaper than emergency staff and vehicle.
