PUBLIC NOTICE Rathdrum, ID: On Tuesday, September 12th, the Board of Directors for Hayden Canyon Charter (HCC) received authorization from the Lakeland School District Board of Trustees to open a new charter school in the fall of 2018. The Lakeland Board unanimously passed a resolution to allow HCC's school, an Expeditionary School of the Arts and Sciences, to begin classes in September of next year. The District and Charter Boards are looking forward to a collaborative and highly productive relationship that will benefit the many students of this area as well as all of North Idaho. Lakeland School Board Chairman, Larry Brown stated, "We are pleased that both Boards are united in moving forward with a shared vision." Aligned with the proven expeditionary learning model developed by EL Education, Hayden Canyon Charter is prepared to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
