Editor's note: Because Main Street columnist Kerri Thoreson is running for mayor of Post Falls, publishing her column during campaign season would provide an unfair advantage. Kerri's column will take a break until after the Nov. 5 election. However, she will continue to provide weekly birthday updates, which we'll faithfully pass along to readers.

Happy Birthday today to Marie Price, Tom Taggart, Karen Youman, Mark Hunsaker, Karen Prosser, Doug Miller, Shelby Flamand, Anthony King and Srinivas Gundari. Tomorrow Robin Schlotthauer, Alenna Blakeslee, Karen King and Kent Bailey celebrate. On Friday Doreen Mack, Marla Giese, Marlo Gerber, Nick Epstein, Kelsey Wood and Lois Johnson will be putting on their party hats. Saturday Rick Scharf is joined by Ernie Horton, Ann Beutler, Larry Trosper, Gail Everson, Brady Campbell, Shelly Zollman, Rich May, Brian Thormahlen and Janet Pulis in blowing out the candles. Sunday is a special day for Darrell Rickard, Jan Nelson, Cathy Werner, Zack White, Hank Wayman, John Hensley, Debra Wunderlich and Karen Englestad. Ageless Jim Shepperd will be a youthful 87 on Monday, sharing the date with Mark Anthony, Tanya Peugh and Sam Taylor. Tuesday's birthday girls are Sharmon Schmitt, Nicole Coquette, Terra Karl, Dianne Ansbaugh, Brenna Meehan and Peggy Coleman.

So CDA Press, you have changed your stance. Why did you allow Luke Malek's column to continue during his election? What is your "official" policy?
