BUZZ: Acronym challenge accepted

Print Article

No, I did not read Anne Helen Petersen’s BuzzFeed article giving her view of local Republican Party problems. It seemed to be enough for me to read The Press’ not-very-objective Sunday editorial on the subject. Hopefully, Ms. Petersen had more to offer than criticism of other people’s ideas and another cute acronym. But I found myself unable to ignore the apparent acronymic challenge. Could any of the following properly be applied to those steadfast pro-establishment types:

PLOT: Please let others think

POISON: Party’s old insiders stuck on nonsense

PHONYUS: Power-hungry organizers need your unthinking support

RATBAIT: Republicans against tinkering by any independent thinkers

SITMORE: Sticks in the mud opposing Republicans enlightenment
