BUZZFEED: More like scuzzfeed

Print Article

It’s sad that in Mike Patrick’s desperate attempt to denigrate the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee in both Sunday’s (Oct. 29) front-page article and editorial that he would embrace Buzzfeed which is the same extremist liberal news outlet which published the fake and discredited Trump dossier created by Fusion GPS and paid for by Hillary Clinton. Not even the New York Times or MSNBC were willing to publish the dossier when offered and sink to the low levels of journalism that Buzzfeed did.

The Republicans quoted in Patrick’s front-page article who proudly endorsed the latest Buzzfeed article attacking North Idaho clearly demonstrated to all readers in the county their true political orientation. For the Coeur d’Alene Press to align itself with Buzzfeed, it has now willfully degraded itself to some of the lowest levels of journalism in the country. The Coeur d’Alene Press editorial using the term “LIARS” in reference to the KCRCC is pathetic and reveals that the Coeur d’Alene Press is clearly the real embarrassment to our community. We deserve much better journalism that supports and informs rather than repeatedly attacking its own citizenry.
