TRUMP: Consumers, beware

Print Article

I do not think a college education is a prerequisite for understanding political issues. Understanding the issues does require time and some study. Voting a straight party line is an easy shortcut which allows people, regardless of education level, to avoid learning more about issues. The result is often one that works against that voter.

There has never been a clearer case of that than President Trumpís attempt to usurp the leadership of a consumer protection agency. That is a dictatorial type action that does no good for those of us who are not rich and, in fact, harms us.

If you look at this issue and agree that it harms you, now and in the foreseeable future, express your discontent to every level of political representation. That is participatory democracy.
