TOYS: A triumph for tots

Print Article

The numbers are in and I am without words… well, spoken words.

We reached out to our community and they hugged us back! Thanks to all of you, we are helping 906 families — equating to 1,914 kid littles — find toys under their trees Christmas morning!

For the first time this year, we asked Kootenai County residents to become part of our Volunteer Elf Brigade and they responded! We had entire families sorting, packing and handing out toys. Our youngest elf was just 3 and she worked harder than some of our adult volunteers.

Thank you again for helping me to get the word out to the community. I believe we were able to help at least 100 additional families through the online article.

I wish you and your entire team at The Press a very blessed and Merry Christmas!
