CITYLINK: Riders are real people

Print Article

To those who have the opinion that the people who ride the CityLink buses are “less than human,” I want to share with you a 15-minute episode I, an 83-year-old bus rider, experienced.

It was late, dark and cold. As I exited the bus, a young lady reminded me how icy it was and to “take care.” Another lady gave me her arm so I could walk to a nearby car and get a hold of the vehicle to steady myself. Then a young man came along and gave me his arm and walked me all the way back to my car, although he passed his up. He made sure I was in my car. These were CityLink passengers, just like me.

So there. Think again of the “People Who Ride the Bus!”
