State troopers are also seeking information about the vehicle involved in the collision that occurred a few minutes before 10 p.m. at milepost 15.5.

The vehicle fled the scene after striking the bicyclist who was in the westbound lane of travel, according to an ISP news release.

The man riding the bicycle, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was in his late 50s, about 6 feet tall, with brown eyes, gray hair and a partial beard.
