Marine Corps Birthday Ball nears

The United States Marine Corps is celebrating its 242nd year this month, and locally, there will be a big bash Nov. 17 at the Best Western Plus Coeur d’Alene Inn.

Festivities will begin at 5 p.m. that evening with a dinner, a silent auction, music and dancing. Dress will be semi-formal.

Cost is $45 per person, and reservations are required by Thursday.
