IFPC seeks qualified applicants to fill commission vacancies

The Idaho Forest Products Commission is seeking applicants to fill upcoming vacancies.

Three seats on the commission will expire this year. One seat from District 2 (Shoshone, Benewah, Latah and Clearwater counties), one seat from District 4 (Adams, Valley, Payette, Washington, Ada, Boise, Gem and all other counties south of the Salmon River) and one “At Large Member” (from any of the four districts within the state of Idaho).

Member responsibilities include providing direction for commission activities, setting the level of IFPC assessments each year and approving annual operating budgets.

Members are appointed by the governor from recommendations of those who pay assessments into the commission. IFPC members serve a three-year term and may be reappointed. Members must be a resident of the state and derive a substantial part of their income from the forest products industry within the state of Idaho.
