POST FALLS — Kenworth Sales Company will break ground on a new Post Falls location today at 4373 W. Expo Parkway.

The 41,500-square-foot facility on 10 acres will include 24 service bays, body shop, expanded parts inventory, new and used truck sales, rental and leasing. There will be about 35 employees, creating about 20 new jobs.

“This new store will allow us to better facilitate the needs of our customer base in North Idaho,” District Manager Ric Petersen said. “Kenworth has been servicing this area from our Spokane location. We are always looking for ways to better serve our customers and look forward to enhancing customer experience with this new, state-of-the-art location.”

The public is invited to the groundbreaking ceremony held at the new location at 11 a.m. today.

GARCO is heading up the project with the help of a number of local subcontractors. Design is by NBW Architects.

“It is important to us to use local businesses in this project,” said Kyle Treadway, president of Kenworth Sales Company. “We want to support and work with our neighbors in an effort to be good contributors to the community today and moving forward.”

Kenworth Sales Company was founded in 1945 by the Treadway family and is celebrating 75-plus years. With the combined service and support of over 1,200 employees across 31 different locations, Kenworth Sales Company offers buying, leasing, renting, financing, servicing, maintaining, licensing, and other aspects of operating a truck.
