Nathan O’Brien will present the 16th annual Lilac City Comicon June 4 and 5 at the Spokane Convention Center.

Lilac City Comicon is the largest comic book and pop culture convention in eastern Washington.

Special guests include: Booker T (WWE Hall of Fame wrestler, on Saturday only); Daniel Cudmore (actor, "X-Men Days of Future Past," "X-2," "Twilight" series); Kellen Goff (voice actor, "Five Nights at Freddy’s"); three-time Oscar-nominated screenwriter and Washington native Tab Murphy (Disney’s "Tarzan," "Hunchback of Notre Dame," "Atlantis"); and screen-used vehicle: Optimus Prime (Universal Studios: "Transformers Age of Extinction").

Lilac City Comicon will feature more than 200 exhibitors in more than 65,000 square feet of exhibition space.

A variety of comics, collectibles, toys, arts and crafts, books, games, props and instructional panels will be on site.

Lilac City Comicon will also feature the largest costume cosplay contest at 6 p.m. Saturday for adults and kids and Sunday at 3 p.m.

The goal of Lilac City Comicon is to promote awareness of local artists and businesses from around the Inland Northwest for all ages in the community to enjoy. It is also Lilac City Comicon's intention to help those in need by collecting nonperishable donations for Our Place Community Outreach. A portion of exclusive merchandise sales will go toward the Jesse Acosta Art Scholarship Fund in honor of local artist Jesse Acosta, who passed away from cancer.
