COEUR d'ALENE — Students with visual impairments want to give back to their community, and they'll be doing exactly that on Saturday,

Jordana Engebretsen, president and owner of Vocalife, said they will be decorating Christmas cards and preparing gift packages during a holiday gathering at 10:30 a.m. in the DeArmond Building at North Idaho College.

They'll head to Lyfe Coffee Roaster and Public House, 116 Lakeside Ave., at 3 p.m. to share Christmas carols, gifts, cookies and good will.

The public is welcome at both events.

Engebretsen said her students want to be a "blessing to others."

Vocalife's mission is to “empower students with visual disabilities,"
