Senator Bob Nonini is still a liar! In our homes and schools we teach our children accountability for their actions, so why can’t we teach cowardly politicians accountability in front of an impartial judge and in the polling booths? It is Bob Nonini’s signature on the “From the Desk of Senator Bob Nonini” slanderous letter that was sent out right before the Post Falls School Board election. Now he claims he didn’t write the letter, but agrees with its content. WHAT? How cowardly is that? TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS! Whether it was Nonini’s “rubber stamp” signature on the letter containing the slanders does not make them true. By the way, why would the Reagan Republicans have an Idaho State Senator’s rubber stamp and letterhead anyway? Is that legal or ethical? Or did the Regan Republicans forge his letterhead and signature? Either way Bob Nonini won’t stand up like a man and take responsibility for trying to destroy my personal reputation that I have spent a lifetime nurturing. You, Nonini, did not just insult and slander me, but you insulted and slandered all working mothers and women who try to make a difference in the lives of children. HOW DARE YOU! You think you can run from this, but you can’t. I may not be able to afford an attorney now, but I do believe the statute of limitations is two years on a slander lawsuit…so just know that I will be saving up!

The Post Falls Press reports: “Nonini said, had he known he would have been the only legislator to have his signature on the letter, he would have given it a second thought…” WHAT? Nonini, you mean that slandering me, after me donating thousands of hours of my time to the Post Falls School District over the past 14 years, was only worth a “second thought” if more cowardly politicians like you would have signed the slanderous letter? What kind of human being are you? Also, does your statement to the Post Falls Press mean that you share a desk with other politicians, because that slanderous letter was sent “From the Desk of Senator Bob Nonini” and no other Senator’s desk was mentioned? Should the letterhead have read “From the Shared Desk of Senator Hocus Pocus and Senator Bob Nonini”?

Is anyone else tired of this kind of “Politics as Usual” bologna? Lie, slander, and then run like a coward. There should be an Election Accountability Law passed holding politicians to a higher legal standard for slander during an election.

Why can’t we, as a voting public, say “NO NONINI…BAD POLITICIAN!” And shake a voting finger at him (and others like him) to let them know that this kind of slanderous behavior is completely unacceptable from an Idaho State Senator. Vote him out! RECALL NONINI! He doesn’t deserve the honor of being called “Senator”.

Nonini has a bad rep with some old timers. He would never have won a seat except that people in this county will vote for anything or anyone with an "R" beside their name. However that may be changing as population is changing rapidly around here.
Also, CdA got out the vote to rid their school board of these people; Post Falls can do the same. Ditto for N Idaho with the legislature. Surely the Balanced People can come up with some good candidates next election.

I laugh at the comments here who blame Mrs. Hunt for this letter as not bowing out gracefully. Please. This has nothing to do with losing the election and everything to do with someone who has never met her defaming her character in a letter. Please people...

Nonini has been scum for a long time. I would have no problem signing a recall petition on him if one became available. He has never gotten a vote from and never will. Ms. Hunt, your letter is pretty accurate about this weasel of a man.

You have discribed yourself accurately .. Well done

If they had lost in an honest way, they would have bowed out gracefully and said so be it ..
BUT .. When a letter is sent out and it is full of lies and slander, then they have every right to fight back.
CDA did fight back .. not in the same way as here but they have fought back. Or do you not know
what the Recall CDA was all about??

This country subsidizes the timber, oil, mining, agriculture industries and doing that, often subsidzes millionares and billionaires. However, the Repubs resent every dime that goes to the poor or disabled. Yes, they are all about money and greed. Not about education, compassion and fairness.
The lesson from this is: CdA voters turned out the reasonable, rational voters. Post Falls can do the same. I wonder if someone should look at this letter in the light of its legality. Did the RR's overstep their tax exempt status or do they have tax exempt status? If so they can advocate but can't directly endorse candiddates. Should this election be re-run on the light of this? Is there a precedent for doing so?

Julie, upon further review........You can find solace knowing that Ward's "post election Press day" congratulatory kiss on his own lips does not make him immune from the effects of the "Peter Principle" in future local elections.

What campaigner would publicly explain in detail exactly what he did, how he did it, to whom he did it to, and with whose help he had..........

Nonini would be wise to distance himself from someone who literally through him under the front loader in yesterday's Press release......but then again, I'm hoping they stay very close tight BFF's:)

"The delusional ranting of an individual desperately attempting to rationalize defeat. It is both sad and disturbing" this is a quote from Screen Name in the article about RR head Ward. The hypocrisy is astounding. So far both PF losers have wrote letters showing how such sore losers they are. NONE of the CDA losers have done that. I'm not counting Ward or Gookin, I'm talking about the actual candidates. Surely I can't be the only one to see the hypocrisy. As someone wrote in the Paul article, maybe I am just an "ignorant Post Falls resident".

It isn't just Nonini, Goedde, or other politicians who ran to Canada in the 60's to avoid military service. This is really about the fact that the republican party, locally and nationally, cares nothing about anything except their access to taxpayer funds. It's all about the money - nothing else. Not about people, fairness, the poor, the helpless, the elderly, the future, our kids, or the world at large. And lies are just another tool in their old kit bag. Makes you want to lean over and wretch.

It doesn’t matter which mud slinging liar wrote the letter. When Nonini signed it the letter became his. The fact that the letter was nothing but lies and BS is in fact Nonini’s style. I am sorry that the people of Post Falls did not see through the RR’s underhanded tactics.

CdA cleaned out their school board. Post Falls will have to do the same.
This is a sad outcome. Post Falls schools always worked well. What isn't broken shouldn't be fixed if the fix is going to send the school into a downward turn.

Just because letters come from a Senators desk does not mean it is true.
It is so obvious both Nonini and Ward have NO IDEA who Julie Hunt or Dave Paul really are.
Nonini stated in his letter that he has met the incumbants on several occasions .. I ask you Nonini,
Where were you when you 'met' them? What did you talk about? Do you know who they really are?

I have known Julie Hunt for many years, I can tell you that is so obvious that Nonini has NO CLUE
about Julie and what she stands for. Julie has put the needs of our kids first here in Post Falls,
those of you who live here should be doing the same. Instead you listened to people (Nonini and Ward) who have no idea what goes on here.

Cowardice is not welcome here in Post Falls. If you want to be a coward go some place where kids futures are not at stake.

We want what is BEST for our kids!

A loving mom with kids in the Post Falls School District

Julie.....according to yesterday's article Ward all but admitted to writing the letter and Nonini just signed off on it. It does raise some questions about what comes off the desk of Nonini and who has access to it. Apparently Jeff Ward sets the agenda and Nonini attaches his signature to it. I just didn't realize the extent of Nonini's indebtedness to Ward:) Silly me....silly us, really......

Bob, the public is waiting for you to respond to this situation. Why have you not spoken up? Your silence does not serve you well.
