PRIEST RIVER - One person was killed and another injured in a three-car wreck that occurred on U.S. Highway 2 near Priest River shortly after 5 p.m. Friday evening.

Idaho State Police reported that Amy Brady, 39, of Newport, Wash., was killed when her 2008 Chrysler 300 was struck head-on by a 2005 GMC pickup driven by Christopher Jewsbury, 50, of Spokane.

Jewsbury was traveling west on U.S. 2 near milepost 3.8 when he went left of center, sideswiping an eastbound 1990 Chevy Trailblazer driven by David Oakes, 61, of Olympia, Wash. Jewsbury then collided with Brady's vehicle, which was also eastbound.

Oakes and Brady were wearing seat belts at the time of the incident. Jewsbury was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. Oakes sustained no injuries.

Bonner County Sheriff's Department and Priest River Police Department assisted.

entirely beside the point of the story..... BUT a 2008 Chrysler 300 and a 2002 are entirely different machines; the only thing in common is the name. '05 up 300's are among the safest cars on the road in a collision. It's a shame this lady died, it appears this was not her fault at all.

My cousin died in a Chrysler 300 (2002) they are a death car when in a collision. A head on collision her car was launched into the air but not before ripping the whole left side of the car and her body. I'm sorry for your loss tragic. Look into Chrysler design.
