COEUR d'ALENE - Recall CdA's organizer has formed a political action committee for the November city elections.

Frank Orzell, who led the Recall CdA effort, formed the new committee, Reclaim Coeur d'Alene. He said in a press release Tuesday the group will provide information on relevant issues through its website and public events for direct interaction with candidates.

"We are in the process of identifying potential candidates for voter consideration. Qualified individuals willing to step up to the challenge should make themselves known to the group by email."

Reclaim Coeur d'Alene's campaign, according to the press release, will aim to put in place a local government that will: Represent the will of the people - calling for a public vote on major issues (such as McEuen); effectively manage city staff with accountability and reasonable compensation practices; replace arrogance with respect for all; attract new business and job opportunities.

Recall CdA collected more than 5,000 signatures during its petition drive against four incumbents last year. Info: or 819-2919 or

The only affliction worse is cranial rectitis, which is where one's head is in such a position that one has to have a glass stomach to see where he/she is going. It's an epidemic in Coeur d'Alene.

Reclamation Obnoxiation – Just read about this terrible illness and the side effects sound positively dismal. Poor folks, it causes normal people to have fantasies of over taxation, besides the gastrula intestinal discomfort, the worst part is they believe people after them and that cities should be derelict places for the homeless and down trodden - Scary Stuff.

Vox, you are pretty simple minded aren't you? Downtown businesses are made up of little businesses, mom and pop operations that often barely get by. You own a business because you want to live by your own standards, not to get rich. Greased palms, eh, with what a couple of bucks from the till, a free hamburger? BTW, these business owners are taxpayers you moron.

    I'm with Lola123 - reclaim what?

Reclaim from the arrogance of power. Either that or rename the city Chicago West.

It will be interesting to see what type of candidates this group really supports. Their mission statement sounds what many are looking for.

Good luck BUT everyone has their price. Downtown businesses aren't about to let the taxpayer have any input on what this special interest group wants. Not when all it takes is a few greased palms.
