North Idaho College is seeking projects from nonprofit organizations that could use the help of volunteers as part of the NIC Day of Service this fall.

Projects of all types are welcome. Volunteers will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6. Project proposal forms can be found by visiting www.nic.edu/activities and then clicking on the “Volunteer Programs” link. Submit proposals to NIC Student Events Coordinator Heather Erikson at heather_erikson@nic.edu by Tuesday, Aug. 21.

NIC initiated the Day of Service four years ago as a way of helping students and employees connect with the community through a daylong service project with a nonprofit community agency. Projects in the past have included working at the Community Roots’ Shared Harvest Community Garden, making quilts and building enclosures at the Priest River Animal Shelter.

Information: (208) 665-5459.
