COEUR d'ALENE - A Worley man who robbed a Coeur d'Alene coffee stand at gunpoint while wearing a SpongeBob SquarePants mask was sentenced Tuesday to 13 years in prison by a Kootenai County District Court judge.

Kyle Campbell, 25, pleaded guilty on Oct. 3 to the armed robbery charge stemming from a Jan. 30 incident that took place at the Lean Bean coffee stand on Sherman Avenue.

"Mr. Campbell's dangerous conduct, combined with his substance abuse issues, indicate that placement in an appropriate treatment program while incarcerated is appropriate," Kootenai County Prosecutor Barry McHugh said in a press release. "Until he changes, he will be a danger to the community to commit similar reckless and dangerous crimes."

The sentence, which was determined by Judge Lansing Haynes, will allow Campbell to participate in treatment programs while in prison.
