The idea of a local ban on selling large, sugary beverages to kids didn't sit well with most Press poll participants.

When asked if they would support such a ban, here’s how readers responded:

• Yes — 275 votes (29 percent)

• No — 659 votes (71 percent)

it is not the governments job to tell us what to eat or drink.
    how about some personal responsibility?

the whole idea of banning things (like this) is absurd.

this is not news worthy let the brats drink what they want. I had some friends when their son was a teen he was fat addicted to M-dew and was totally out of control (break stuff in the house and scare the company away from a visit) to the point of evil! He beat his dad many times he was a little a- holly! His mother baby him and give in to him he laughed at his wimpy dad. They took the m-dew away guess what? he is a nice calm man now go figure. Do you still want your kids drinking this junk? you let this happen bad parenting oh ya they can sneek it.
