Marc Eberlein announced he is running for a seat on the Kootenai County commission.

Eberlein, 54, of Post Falls, is seeking the District 1 seat.

Two years ago, Eberlein nearly won the Republican primary.

He said he is a listener, understands the land-use code needs revision and will work for a balanced approach that respects the property rights of county residents.

He describes himself as an independent scholar and businessman. He said in his own business he is "financially responsible and deals fairly with clients and employees alike."

He said he is an avid outdoorsman, including fishing, hunting, backpacking and cross-country skiing.

He and his wife Elaine have been married for 36 years, and they have four children.

I agree with Keven Johnson. We know where Marc stands, and "Unimpressed" must also know too, being a county employee. I like how Marc has his press release on the homepage. The website looks complete to me.

I agree with Kevin Johnson. We already know where Marc stands, and as a county employee Unimpressed must know too. I like how Marc's press release is readily available on the homepage. His website looks good to me.

It appears that he listened and worked hard to get both a website and facebook page up and running

I'm sure the website will be complete soon, but those of us who were paying attention just 2 short years ago know Marc's positions and philosophy quite well already. I will enthusiastically vote for Marc Eberlein for Commissioner.

The donation part works, of course.

Perhaps before you announce your plan to run, get your ducks in a row. I go to your website and your entire website says "coming soon."

Is that what we should expect if you win the seat. Just tell us your decision is "coming soon."

As a County employee and resident, we deserve better than that.
