Beck leads Indians past Yakima

YAKIMA, Wash. - Preston Beck hit a two-run double in the seventh and Royce Bolinger scored on a wild pitch an inning later to help the Spokane Indians beat the Yakima Bears 7-5 on Sunday night in Northwest League play before 1,167 at Yakima County Stadium.

Beck finished with three hits, including a triple in the third. Joe Maloney, Ryan Rua and Gabriel Roa also had RBIs for Spokane.

Indians starter Shawn Blackwell got roughed up for four runs in six innings. Cody Kendall came in in the fifth and threw two scoreless innings to get his first win. Alec Asher pitched a scoreless ninth to pick up his second save.

Yakima (9-8) hosts Spokane (7-10) again tonight at 7.
