Kaleb DeHaas

Pepsi Wolfpack

DeHaas, an infielder and catcher from Coeur d'Alene High and Northwest Nazarene University, went 2 for 4 with an RBI in the Wolfpack's 7-6 win over the Northwest Flyers on Saturday. The Wolfpack (12-12 entering Tuesday) are a Boise summer collegiate baseball league team.

Kyle Johnson

Orem Owlz

Johnson, an outfielder from Lake City High and Washington State, singled in his only at-bat last Thursday and was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to score the winning run as the Owlz (17-17 entering Tuesday) beat Billings in Orem.

Shea Vucinich

Brevard County Manatees

Vucinich, an infielder from Coeur d'Alene High and Washington State, had two hits for the Manatees (46-52) in a 6-4 loss to Palm Beach on Sunday. Vucinich had two hits in the game, the first breaking up a no-hitter in the sixth inning. Brevard County is a Class A long-season affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.

J.J. Turbin

Chugiak-Eagle River

Turbin, an outfielder from Coeur d'Alene High, went 1 for 3 with a run scored in the second game of the Chinooks' doubleheader on Monday. Turbin is batting .330 (37 for 112) with 10 RBIs and four stolen bases for Chugiak-Eagle (13-19), an Alaskan college summer-league team.

Drew Turbin

Chugiak-Eagle River

Turbin, an infielder from Coeur d'Alene High, went 3 for 4 with a double and four RBIs in the Chinooks' 7-4 win against the Anchorage Glacier Pilots on July 14. Turbin is batting .284 in 26 games, with 21 hits and seven RBIs entering Tuesday.

    I admire college students that play any sport at professional level and I also wish that all of them would be taking online degree program and graduate from college. That is something to expect from them from my point of view because many of them become role models for youngsters.
