EUGENE, Ore. - Carson York, formerly of Lake City High and now a senior left guard at Oregon, played in two series in the second quarter of Saturday night's season opener vs. Arkansas State, just eight months after suffering a serious knee injury in the Rose Bowl.
"I don't think they were the best two series of my life ... but it was fun to get back out there," York, a three-year starter, told the Oregonian newspaper.
"The knee feels OK," he added. "Nothing different than it's felt the last couple weeks. ... Hopefully when we get into conference play, I can get a few more reps."
