Ben Brust hit a shot from just inside midcourt to tie the game at the end of regulation and added a tie-breaking 3 with less than 40 seconds left in overtime as Wisconsin beat No. 3 Michigan 65-62 on Saturday at Madison, Wis.

Brust scored 14 points for the Badgers (17-7, 8-3 Big Ten), while Jared Berggren added 13.

Trey Burke scored 19 points for Michigan (21-3, 8-3), while Tim Hardaway Jr. added 18.

Hardaway hit a contested 3-pointer to put the Wolverines up 65-52 with less than 3 seconds left in regulation. Brust collected the inbounds pass near halfcourt, took one dribble and hit a runner that touched nothing but net to tie the game.

Wisconsin and Michigan traded baskets in overtime before Brust hit the 3-pointer over Caris LeVert to put Wisconsin up 65-62 with less than 40 seconds left.

Hardaway couldn't connect on his drive to the hoop on the next Michigan possession, and Glenn Robinson III fouled Berggren on the rebound.

The Wolverines went to a full-court press with two more fouls to give. But the Badgers broke the press, and Michigan had to commit two more fouls to finally put Ryan Evans on the free throw line.

Evans, who shoots less than 43 percent from the line, missed the front end of a 1-and-1, and Burke couldn't connect in a rushed final possession for the Wolverines.

No. 2 Florida 83, Mississippi State 58: At Gainesville, Fla., Mike Rosario scored 18 points, Erik Murphy added 17 and Florida (19-3, 9-1 Southeastern Conference) routed Mississippi State (7-15, 2-8).

Oklahoma 72, No. 5 Kansas 66: At Norman, Okla., Romero Osby scored 17 points, Steven Pledger added 15 and Oklahoma held off Kansas to give the Jayhawks (19-4, 7-3) their first three-game losing streak in eight years.

The Sooners (15-7, 6-4 Big 12) snapped a 10-game losing streak in the series and took down a top 5 opponent for the first time since beating No. 4 Texas on Jan. 28, 2006.

No. 8 Miami 87, North Carolina 61: At Coral Gables, Fla., Miami hit a school record-tying 15 3-pointers and the Hurricanes (19-3, 10-0) extended their winning streak to 11 games by beating North Carolina (16-7, 6-4).

Sophomore Shane Larkin had 18 points and a career-high nine assists for the Atlantic Coast Conference leaders, who built margins of 9-0 and 44-27 en route to another rout.

No. 25 Notre Dame 104, No. 11 Louisville 101, 5OT: At South Bend, Ind., Cameron Biedscheid scored on a layup with 1:19 left in the fifth overtime, and Eric Atkins and Pat Connaugton added free throws in the final 19 seconds as Notre Dame overcame an eight-point deficit in regulation to beat Louisville.

Russ Smith had a chance to tie it, but his 3-point attempt missed before Notre Dame students flooded the court to celebrate. It marked the sixth time in the last eight meetings that a game between the Fighting Irish (19-5, 7-6 Big East) and the Cardinals (19-5, 7-4) went into overtime.

Both teams missed crucial free throws in the final minute. Atkins missed two with 37 seconds left and Montrezi Harrell did the same for Louisville with 24 seconds left.

Jerian Grant, who fouled out with 1:57 left in the first overtime, led the Irish with 19 points.

Chane Behanan had 30 points and 15 rebounds for Louisville.

No. 12 Michigan State 78, Purdue 65: At West Lafayette, Ind., Branden Dawson scored 20 points and Keith Appling added 17, leading Michigan State (20-4, 9-2 Big Ten) past Purdue (12-12, 5-6).

No. 13 Kansas State 79, Iowa State 70: At Manhattan, Kan., Rodney McGruder scored 22 points and Kansas State (19-4, 8-2 Big 12) beat the Cyclones (16-7, 6-4).

No. 14 Butler 59, George Washington 56: At Washington, Rotnei Clark scored 14 points for Butler (20-4, 7-2 Atlantic 10), which went the last 7 1/2 minutes without a field goal before holding off the Colonials (11-11, 5-4).

UNLV 64, No. 15 New Mexico 55: At Las Vegas, Anthony Bennett had 17 points and 12 rebounds to lead UNLV (18-6, 5-4 Mountain West) past New Mexico (20-4, 7-2).

Illinois State 75, No. 16 Creighton 72: At Omaha, Neb., Tyler Brown scored 23 of his 27 points in the second half and Illinois State (15-10, 6-7 Missouri Valley Conference) beat Creighton (20-5, 9-4).

No. 23 Pittsburgh 62, No. 17 Cincinnati 52: At Cincinnati, Tray Woodall scored 14 points, Steven Adams added 13 and the Panthers (20-5, 8-4 Big East) beat the Bearcats (18-6, 6-5).

No. 20 Georgetown 69, Rutgers 63: At Piscataway, N.J., Markel Starks scored 20 points, Otto Porter added 19 points and 14 rebounds, and the Hoyas (17-4, 7-3 Big East) beat Rutgers (12-10, 3-8).

No. 21 Missouri 98, Mississippi 79: At Columbia, Mo., Alex Oriakhi had a career-high 22 points to go with 18 rebounds and three blocks, leading the Tigers (17-6, 6-4 SEC) past Mississippi (18-5, 7-3).

No. 22 Oklahoma State 72, Texas 59: At Austin, Texas, Marcus Smart scored 23 points and the Cowboys (17-5, 7-3 Big 12) beat the Longhorns (10-13, 2-8) for their fifth straight win.

No. 24 Marquette 89, DePaul 78: At Milwaukee, Vander Blue scored 18 points and Junior Cadougan added 17 as Marquette (17-5, 8-2 Big East) beat DePaul (10-13, 1-9).

No. 19 Oregon 73, Utah 64: At Eugene, Ore., E.J. Singler had 21 points and Oregon overcame a poor start to end its three-game losing streak with a victory over Utah (10-13, 2-9 Pac-12).

Damyean Dotson added 16 points for the Ducks (19-5, 8-3), who had been on a slide after opening conference play with seven straight victories.

Stanford 62, Arizona State 59: At Tempe, Ariz., Dwight Powell scored 22 points, Stanford made 10 of 18 3-pointers and the Cardinal held on to beat Arizona State (18-6, 7-4 Pac-12).

Stanford (15-9, 6-5) won for the fourth time in five games.

Texas-Arlington 68, UTSA 63: At Arlington, Texas, Kevin Butler scored 17 points to lead Texas-Arlington (12-9, 7-5 Western Athletic Conference) past Texas-San Antonio (5-18, 1-12).

Former North Idaho College standout Michael Hale III had 18 points, six assists, three rebounds and three steals for UTSA.

Louisiana Tech 84, Texas State 69: At Ruston, La., Raheem Appleby scored 21 points and Louisiana Tech (21-3, 12-0 WAC) beat Texas State (7-18, 3-10).

New Mexico State 60, Seattle U 57: At Las Cruces, N.M., Daniel Mullings scored 18 points and New Mexico State (17-8, 10-2 WAC) beat the Redhawks (7-16, 2-10).

Pepperdine 72, Portland 68, OT: At Portland, Ore., Lorne Jackson scored 7 of his 22 points in overtime, leading Pepperdine (11-13, 3-8 West Coast Conference) past the Pilots (9-17, 2-9).

San Francisco 99, BYU 87: At Provo, Utah, De'End Parker came off the bench to score 30 points and the Dons (11-13, 4-7 WCC) beat BYU (18-8, 8-4).

Saint Mary's 74, San Diego 64: At San Diego, Matthew Dellavedova had 19 points and seven assists, Brad Waldow added 18 points and the Gaels (21-4, 10-1 WCC) beat the Toreros (13-13, 6-5).

Northern Colorado 85, Montana State 72: At Bozeman, Mont., Tevin Svihovec scored 23 points and the Bears (7-15, 5-9 Big Sky Conference) beat the Bobcats (10-12, 7-7).

Former Post Falls High standout Marcus Colbert had five points, three assists and three rebounds for Montana State.

Montana 78, North Dakota 58: At Missoula, Mont., Will Cherry scored 21 points, Kareem Jamar added 14 points and nine rebounds, and the Grizzlies (18-4, 14-0 Big Sky) beat North Dakota (10-13, 7-7) for a Big Sky-record 25th straight conference win.
