Cardinals sweep Colorado Northwestern

RANGELY, Colo. - Sophomore Shelby Carter hit a three-run home run in the second inning - the 37th of her career - as the North Idaho College Cardinals swept the Colorado Northwestern Spartans 10-0 and 7-3 on Saturday in the Scenic West Athletic Conference softball finale for both schools.

TWIN FALLS - Patti Ferguson hit a two-run home run in the second inning of the first game and Brandi Hall threw a one-hitter in the second game as the Southern Idaho Golden Eagles swept the North Idaho Cardinal softball team 9-1 and 8-0 on Saturday to clinch its first Scenic West Athletic Conference championship.
