Willis D. Moody, 88

Willis D. Moody, 88, was born March 15, 1929, in Independence, Ore. He attended various Oregon grade schools as the family followed his father who was employed in Oregonís logging industry. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1946.

He began his career at Cascades Plywood in 1945. He enlisted in the Navy in 1946 and was called back for another tour in May of 1951. In 1964 he went to work for the American Plywood Association until his retirement in 1991. Willis was an avid ham radio operator and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He married Melba Cox in 1948 in Lebanon, Ore. He is survived by his wife, Melba; three sons, Alan (Barb), Mike (Vickie) and Scott (Patsy); 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Helen and Sam; his sister, Marian and great-grandchildren, Carrie Moody and Tyler Norton.

By his request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Childrenís Hospital, Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
