Carol Lynn Browne, 56

Carol Lynn Browne, 56, passed away peacefully on Nov. 4, 2017, surrounded by family at Hospice House in Hayden, Idaho. Carol was born Sept. 6, 1961, to James and Joy Browne in Ft. Campbell, Ky. She was the baby of the family, with big brother David and sister Cheryl.

Carol graduated from Lakeland High School in Rathdrum, Idaho, in 1979. After attending college and moving to Oklahoma to spend some time with extended family, she settled back in Hayden, where her parents resided. Carol was a hard worker and spent more than 20 years working in the medical field, where she made a lasting impression on everyone she worked with.

She had a big heart and was one of the kindest, sweetest people you would ever meet. She was an active member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and devoted many hours in the kitchen and working special activities. She loved to help wherever she could.

Carol had a special place in her heart for all her nieces, nephews and all their children. She loved making and buying gifts for all the babies. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Until we meet again, you will forever be in our hearts. Preceding Carol’s passing was her mother, Joy A. Browne; and grandparents Maxine and Herbert Barnett. Surviving Carol are her father, James E. Browne of Rathdrum; brother David M. (Deloah) Browne of Spokane, Wash.; sister Cheryl A. (Ken) Zachary of Hayden; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A service for Carol will be held at noon Saturday Nov. 11, 2017, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 13541 W. Highway 53, Rathdrum. A reception will follow.

God saw you getting tired,

When a cure was not to be.

So he wrapped his arms around you,

and whispered, “come to me.”

You didn’t deserve what you went through,

So he gave you rest.

God’s garden must be beautiful,

He only takes the best.

And when I saw you sleeping,

So peaceful and free from pain

I could not wish you back

To suffer that again.
