Jacky James Jansen, of Coeur d’Alene, passed away in his home on Saturday morning, Aug. 24, 2013. Son of Henri Jansen and Magdalena Schneider of Indonesia, he now joins them and his departed sister, Joan, and niece Jane.
Please join family and friends as we honor his life at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at The Altar, 901 E. Best Street, Coeur d’Alene.
Jacky was born on Nov. 23, 1957, in New Guinea, lived in California, but made Idaho the place family calls home. You could find him fishing at Rose Lake, wake boarding on the river while blasting tunes from his boat, snowboarding at Silver Mountain, golfing at The Highlands, playing two slot machines at the Casino, working at his shop on a custom car, playing his guitar or riding down the 90 on his chopper with no hands.
He had a wicked sense of humor; and that laugh! Jacky was an incredible athlete, builder, mechanic, chef and businessman, but his greatest achievement was turning his life around and helping others to do the same. He loved everyone, judged no one, and led a simple life as he brought his family and the community together. He inspired us all to work hard, live right and love people.
Jacky was blessed to leave us a happy and fulfilled man, living each day with passion and vigor. His spirit will live on through the wisdom he passed on to each of us. In loving memory, Jacky will be missed, but never forgotten.
