Lester C. Mudge passed on April 16, 2013, at Kootenai Medical Center at the age of 83. Les, as he liked to be called, was born to Clinton and Ruth Mudge on June 16, 1929.
He lived most of childhood in a log cabin on Old Mullen Road at Wolf Lodge where he attended the one-room schoolhouse there. Les later lived in Coeur d'Alene, married and worked for the family business. Les was a pilot, and also obtained a license to inspect and repair small aircraft at North Idaho Junior College. Les served in the Army as a crew chief at an airport in Austria.
Les is survived by his sister, Catherine M. Erickson; sons, Jerry and Steve Mudge; daughter, Michele Mauri; and two adopted sons, David and Michael; as well as a number of grandchildren.
At Les's request there will be no services. Les will be laid to rest at the family plot in Forest Cemetery in Coeur d'Alene.
