I wanted to make you aware of a communication I had with our City Council member, Dan Gookin, April 10 in regard to the recall.

EDEN: I am sure you are aware that the information being delivered to the public by those attempting to recall our mayor and your fellow council members, Kennedy, Goodlander and McEvers, is inaccurate regarding McEuen. As I understand you to have relationships with the leaders of the Recall Team, I feel it is your DUTY to point out to them (and the community) that the information is NOT accurate. Getting someone to sign the recall petition based on inaccurate information is dishonest.

DAN: “I believe it’s best not to take sides, though I am constantly asked to do so. I don’t see how taking one side or the other can help unite our community, which is what’s needed now.”

Some background: Dan is a part of The team of have initiated the recall — and Dan is a member of that team.

In a post on by him — he said, “If you want the LCDC gone, then elect me a mayor or two other conservative councilmen and I’d be happy to kill it.” Comment by Dan — March 24, 2012, at 5:09 p.m.

This is evidence he is clearly taking sides. After reading this, I ask you, citizens of Coeur d’Alene, do you trust him? I personally cannot trust him now.

Be aware there are many hidden agendas coming from the Recall group.

You just need to read the last names of the young, uber-rich kids heading up the anti-recall effort to see all the hidden agenda you need to.

    Additional reading....

Go to the City of Cda Election web site and review Adam Grave's 2011 Campaign Financial Disclosure Reports.

Note who the treasure is for his failed campaign and who contributed to his campaign. I think Ms. Irgens has some explaining to do regarding her "dishonest" slanderous statement.

good job orange! I’m wondering if were taking the wrong approach and should all sign them. just not legit names…. then when they go file and are reviewed they would be off by thousands! Is that illegal?

Well one thing you have to give her credit for, she didn't hide her agenda.

Are you really partners with Adam Graves? When you sent Dan Gookin your email about the $40,000,000 why did you then give that letter to the Spokesman? Are you and Adam and Sara working against the recall?

Why did you hide these things from the public when you sent your passive-aggressive nasty little letter? Are you ashamed of what you are doing?

Eden is correct there are hidden and open agendas in everyuthing I wonder what hers is since it has been shown she is connected to the power structure. So Mr Gookin has gone on record as against the LCDC Shocking simply shocking. The idea that any one would want to destroy the elites play grounds like Urban renewal or the LCDC explains why so many inside the beltway types are alarmed by the peasants sharpening their pitchforks. The idea that some would challenge the fun of the elite thinkers idea of progress paid for with others money and succede must strike terror into a few social calendars. I doubt if Eden ever trusted Mr Gookin and her feeble attempt to sway those of us who she thinks hang on her every word or opinion shows how little her side composed of the artsy and crafty beautiful people thinks of our ability to see her issues differently. Off to the wine tasting Edie and check the guest list.

Before anyone starts attacking me for my comment---I don't know Dan Gookin personally but I do know a vicious letter when I read one. It's obvious EDEN IRGENS has her own hidden agendas. I no longer respect her.

CdA Arts Commission Elects New Chairperson

The City of Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission announces the election of Eden Irgens as Chair. Ms. Irgens has been a member of the Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission for 6 years.

Eden is a business partner with Adam Graves. Adam Graves suggested signing the recall petition using a false names to cause problems.

It is so interesting to search the connections. I am not attacking Ms. Irgens just sharing my research.

Our Community trusts Dan Gookin and that is why he is one of our newest City Council Members. Watching the last Council meeting online proves a is a professional. He would make an excellent Mayor should he decide to run in 2013.

If the despots of CDA get their way, condo dwellers will watch Pickles pee on your Bocce!
The last thing a monarch wants is for the Serfs to have a say.

It is insufficient to have a recall. What is truly needed are candidates to step forward who respect the rights of long term residents against the influx of newcomers seeking refuge who want to impose their former culture upon us.

I think it's ok for a city councilman to "take sides" with the taxpayers!

Gookin, Adams, and Edinger are all officially staying neutral on the recall, and I think that's proper. But do you really think that they aren't entitled to their own opinion just like the rest of us are?

And again...... remember that the recall petition, if successful, will NOT remove anyone from office. It will simply but the recall of the mayor and 3 councilmembers on the November ballot for ALL of us to decide!

And so what is 'hidden'? Todays LCDC has morphed into a tool of private development using our public tax dollars and pursuing projects that seem to be very advantageous to certain peoples, some who hold elected positions. There is far too much tax money in the hands of far too few people with NO public oversight. Now that might be workable IF the Mayor allowed important issues to be voted upon by the public. But that is not her style so that now is being legally challenged according to the laws of this country. In the long run, if the LCDC should be impacted...... it will only be for the better..... cuz it is really pretty awful as it stands.

But I gotta say, I'm pretty anxious for some botchy ball. I lettered in botchy ball. Made the All-City botchy ball team. Ah those cheer leaders. The crowds, the songs, the parades....... those were the days.

Oh, Dan. To be neutral you have to be factual. To allow untruths, if that is what they are, is to take sides.

So what you are saying is you are for a NON elected board of stakeholders making decisions with our tax money?

    No thanks.
