Growing up Lea Williams remembers watching her mother painstakingly stamp postcards on their kitchen table. It was part of the routine of being a Realtor.

She swore she would never do that when she grew up.

Fast forward decades later and Lea became one of the top luxury real estate brokers in the area after a successful career in sales and marketing at IBM.

“My goal is to have raving client fans and help them achieve their goals, whether buying or selling,” said Williams, who has about 10 years experience with Sotheby's International Realty. “It usually involves some kind of life transition - moving to be closer to grandkids, downsizing now that the kids have left, moving up, moving here from out of state to have a better quality of life.  Whatever it is, I try to consult and give them the best advice and counsel as we go down the buying or selling process. Real estate is high tech now, no more stamping postcards.”

Williams, who graduated from the University of Southern California, is in the top one percent for sales volume in the Coeur d'Alene MLS out of the nearly 1,300 active licensed agents. She's been the No. 1 Sotheby agent in Coeur d'Alene the last six years and she was awarded Women's Council of Realtors Entrepreneur of the year award in 2013.

“I like to tell it like it is, help buyers and sellers be realistic,” said Williams. “I'm not one to tell you what I think you want to hear, but try to present the options so you can achieve your goals. We will work months and years with people to make sure it is the right fit or the right sale for them.”

Lea Williams  and her husband John have been married 31 years and they have two grown children. She active in the community, serving on various boards and volunteering her time to help others.
